Business Intelligence (BI) Repository Implementation:
EDGE provided project management and build management services on a number of projects within a Business Intelligence Repository program for the Investment Products Division of a major Life Insurance company. This program created an integrated business intelligence repository (a data warehouse) that acquires data from various sources; scrubs that data by applying consistent business rules and delivers the information via a set of data marts to interested parties. This integrated business intelligence repository manages information related to several of the firm’s investment products, including: individual annuities, mutual funds and group investment retirement accounts.

e-Business Marketing Campaign Management:
EDGE provided project management for the implementation of a purchased software solution for Customer Relationship Management (CRM). This major financial services firm’s e-Business Marketing department selected an off-the-shelf suite of CRM applications to enable its strategy for e-business marketing email campaigns, and to provide the analytics engine to support the business intelligence necessary to meet aggressive strategic marketing objectives that crossed three distinct lines of business. EDGE managed the efforts of various and diverse project resources including: the sponsoring business customer; a third party integrator to install and customize the purchased software application; an internal e-business IT development team responsible for the financial services firm’s website; the internal integrated business intelligence repository acquisition team, as well as remote/offshore development resources.

Reinsurance Data Warehousing:
EDGE’s major development concentration for this Reinsurance client has been in Data Warehousing. We have utilized tools such as ERwin, Visio, Informatica, and ESSbase to model processes & data, and to assist in the design and development of the new warehouses supporting our client’s domestic as well as international offices. EDGE senior consultants have taken Project Leadership roles in the implementation of Reinsurance Warehouse projects that include data marts addressing Experience (revenue and losses), Potential Exposures, and Underwriting Movement. EDGE has been retained to lead planned Data Warehousing projects that will be directed to Corporate Earnings and Exposures.

Our senior consultants are also leading this client’s Center of Excellence that addresses the Data Warehouse Development and Project Management Methodologies that will be utilized by all of their future Reinsurance Warehouse projects. They have adapted portions of industry leading Data Warehouse methodologies to the client’s unique environment to ensure the timely delivery of warehouse technologies and systems to meet the needs of their customers.
